Comments: Ted is the first samoan athlete to be offered a professional contract on the island of samoa. The Atlanta Braves showed interest in Ted during his senior year at Marist brothers high school. Ted chose to go to college and graduated with a B.A in business. He also played professionally as the MVP pitcher of the Southeastern League. Ted started off the year at Pensacola with a shaky first game, but came back strong throughout the season winning 10 straight game and earning him the starting role for the championship series in Florida. The Pittsburgh Pirates were interested in signing Ted following his 2002 professional season.
